Here is my new complete outfit for the "Your Wardrobe Unlocked" DPP competition.
This presented a huge challenge as it is my first attempt at painting!
I've found a fantastic product which is a 3D paint in Silver and the result looks like real embroidery.
So maybe other painted garments will come in the future ;)
Time was running fast as always and I didn't manage to take a lot of pictures while sewing.
The inspiration came from a delightful white silk man's suit with embroidered (or painted, difficult to tell) facings, pockets and cuffs.
Here's the original
Follow this link to view extra pictures of the suit and a few images of the inside.
And this link.

Phil! This is fantastic! Beautiful blue and the silver painting was done so well! I have often thought about painting instead of embroidering as to embroider an entire skirt would take ages and well...don't have ages, right? I am so impressed! You have given me courage to do the same. There is a skirt I want to do. I hope you can open this link: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tlA2XiJ5iDg/TSC8v6LoGlI/AAAAAAAAAbE/F8cHWd4XWs4/s1600/18C+Coral+Top+Pale+Skirt.jpg If not go to my blog http://lachatelainechocolat.blogspot.com and look at my post for Jan 2, 2011. The first picture is the skirt and bodice I would love to do!
Cheers!
